At ER Group, sustainability is key to long-term value. We address environmental and societal challenges with intent, focusing on climate resilience and social inclusion for a better tomorrow in Mauritius and across our business activities.
Guided by science, data, and deep community insights, we implement pilot sustainability projects that can be scaled over time. Our goal is to build future-proof businesses and resilient communities, starting today, continuing through 2035, and well into the future.
- 60% renewable electricity produced v/s own consumption
- 80% key suppliers aligned with our Responsible Sourcing Policy
- 80% facilities equipped with rainwater harvesting systems
- 2,000+ people empowered through our inclusion programmes
- 80% our built heritage sites rehabilitated
Our sustainability framework is designed to ignite long-term value. It is built on six pillars, with three contributing to Climate Resilience and three to Social Inclusion.
It covers what we consider as material to our businesses and our stakeholders and what we will focus on to deliver tangible impact by 2035: advancing a low-carbon economy, the sustainable use of our resources, and biodiversity regeneration, while building more livable communities, reducing poverty, and fostering workplace inclusion.
Our projects and initiatives are conducted through the ER Foundation, in collaboration with other companies, foundations, and NGOs. Together, we work toward a shared ambition to serve people, the planet, and prosperity.
